Getting intimate with three sisters in Australia

With such a heading you might think that Christian has gone nuts on the other side of the world, (which of course may be true, you are to judge when he gets back) and started hitting on entire families. The Three Sisters are a famous rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia - we arrived here today around noon after spending two hours on a local train. They are close to the town of Katoomba (where we are staying) and are one of the Blue Mountains' most famous sights, towering above the Jamison Valley. Their names are Meehni (922 m), Wimlah (918 m), and Gunnedoo (906 m).

Indigenous Australian Dreamtime legend says that three sisters fell in love with three men from a neighbouring tribe, but marriage was forbidden by tribal law. Battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by a witch doctor to protect them, but he was killed in the fighting and no one else could turn them back.
We did a 3-hour walk in the area around the three sisters today and got quite a few good shots. Unfortunately, YHA Blue Mountains does not have PCs with USB-portability, so you'll have to wait until tomorrow - they will then be provided to you!

The three sisters. Unfortunately, I only got to touch the leftmost one.

Tomorrow we are going canyoning, which we hope will provide us with both adrenaline and good memories. For those of you that dunno what canyoning is, it is climbing and abseiling in waterfalls. For an illustration, see the below picture.

Basically, this is what we will be doing tomorrow.

Have fun with the snow and exams in Norway! See you soon!
